France electricity bills, explained.

Keep the subscription, meter power and tariff option together. A French electricity comparison needs more than the energy price.

Match puissance and option

A Base tariff has one energy price; an heures pleines/heures creuses tariff separates time periods. The subscription relates to the chosen power level. Compare like-for-like meter power rather than mixing a 6 kVA subscription with another account’s tariff.

TTC prices already include tax

The EDF examples in the library are published tax-inclusive prices. The comparison starts their additional tax field at zero. For an offer expressed before tax, enter the correct applicable treatment separately rather than copying a single percentage without checking the contract.

Use the hours assigned to your meter

An off-peak option needs your actual consumption in the applicable periods. Do not assume all overnight hours are off-peak. Keep monthly subscription amounts separate from energy and enter the number of billing months explicitly. Exceptional services and adjustments remain outside the quoted components.

Dated prices to investigate

Questions, answered.

Can I compare two different power subscriptions?

You can model both, but the comparison includes a change in service capacity as well as price. Confirm that the proposed capacity suits the property before treating the lower subscription as equivalent.

Does the tool add VAT to EDF TTC prices?

The supplied TTC presets start with additional tax at zero. Adding tax again would double-count it.
